Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how the Pethood website uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies. We keep this deliberately minimal. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
What we use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_consent_v1 (local storage) | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask on every page. Needs no consent. | Until you clear your browser data |
ph2_locale (local storage) | Preferences | Remembers the language you picked in the language switcher. | Until you clear your browser data |
_ga, _ga_DDDGM5E99G (cookies) | Analytics, only with your consent | Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.). Counts page views and a few clicks (for example the waitlist button, app-store links, links to other sites, switching language, and reading most of an article) so we can see which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised. We don't use Google's advertising features, and Pethood has no ads. Google may process this data outside the EU under its standard contractual clauses. | Up to 2 years |
Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. We use Google Consent Mode with every category set to "denied" by default. The Pethood app itself contains no analytics SDK.
We do not use cookies to sell your data or to build cross-site advertising profiles.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.
Blocking strictly-necessary items may affect how parts of the site work. To change your
analytics choice, use
(also in the footer of every page). If you withdraw consent, we stop sending data; you can
delete existing _ga cookies in your browser settings.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as the site evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
