What is Pethood?
Pethood is a hyperlocal social app for pet owners and pet lovers. It shows the pets, owners and pet-friendly places around you on a live map, with a neighbourhood feed and Q&A, playdates, small favours between neighbours and "I'm here" check-ins. It is starting in Zagreb, Croatia, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
Is there a social app for meeting other dog owners and dog walking nearby?
Yes, that is Pethood. See dogs and owners on your block, post a check-in like "At the park now" that nearby owners can join, plan playdates matched by size, age and energy, and ask a neighbour to walk your dog when you can't.
Is Pethood free, and which phones does it run on?
The community core is free: meeting people, playdates, Q&A, favours and lost-pet reach. Pethood+, an optional subscription, is available in the app at €4.99 a month or €39 a year (euro area). Pethood is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android.
Is Pethood a paid dog-walking or pet-sitting service?
No. Pethood introduces neighbours. Favours are settled with credits, a social thank-you that can't be bought or cashed out, and whatever you arrange happens between you.
Can pet businesses and shelters join?
Yes. Groomers, pet shops, vets, trainers, walkers and pet-friendly cafés can get on the Pethood map, and shelters and rescues list animals for adoption for free. See the partners page.
